Film & Fun Night
What a mad evening! Sensei Paul organised another film night for Karate students and their friends on Saturday 18th July.
The evening started with kids arriving at the Dojo at 6pm. On arrival they found that the Dojo had been transformed into an assault course. One of the new sections for this year was a “zip line”. Unfortunately this item malfunctioned and so not everyone was able to go on it, will do better next year. Despite the “zip line” there were many other parts to challenge the kids.
After about an hour the assault course was dismantled and the children were put into teams for a mini “Dodge Ball Tournament”. The rules of this are the same as those in the film (starring Ben Stiller) of the same name. After at least two games each, a winning team came through.
The hot sweaty kids then got themselves ready while the film was set up. We all then sat either on the Dojo floor or on the seating area to watch the film Kung Fu Panda.
The film finished at 10pm and their parents collected the now very tired kids. All the kids and adults had a great time.
On Monday, Sensei Paul and Sensei Cally took about five hours to clean all the mess left on the Dojo ready for classes that evening.
